SIKAFLEX 521 UV

Sikaflex® 521 UV is a versatile adhesive sealant designed for sealing joints and flexible bonding in industrial and construction environments. Its advanced formulation allows for high-performance adhesion on a very wide variety of substrates, generally without specific surface treatment (primer):

• Synthetic Materials: ABS, PC (Polycarbonate), FRP (Fibre-Reinforced Plastic).

• Metals: Aluminium, steel, ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

• Wood and Derivatives: Ideal for wood/metal or wood/plastic assemblies.

This product is based on Sika's Silane-Terminated Polymer (STP) technology, offering major advantages for demanding environments:

• High Climatic Resistance: Exceptional resistance to UV rays, ageing, and weathering, preventing joint cracking.

• Simplified Application: Ready-to-use single-component (1K) product, easy to extrude and smooth.

• Chemical Safety: Solvent-free, isocyanate-free, and silicone-free; it features low odour and low VOC emissions.

Sikaflex® 521 UV is defined as an adhesive sealant based on STP (Silane-Terminated Polymer) hybrid polymers. It combines the adhesion strength of a polyurethane with the UV resistance of a silicone, without the drawbacks of these two technologies.
